The guy has led the NBA in assits the past 3 years, avgs over 20 points....he can find anyone and make plays out of nothing, he's one of the best shooters in the league and is 3rd all time at the charity line, not to mention he is very clutch...sorry, there is no better playmaker in the NBA

Suns go down again tonight, at this rate they'll be lucky to make the playoffs. Gave up over 120 points to the Jazz tonight. They've never been known for the defense but seems to me it's gotten worse since Shaq came on board.

I guess the great white hype didn't make enough plays.

Nash can make plays, he's one of the top pg in the leagues. He's not the best player/playmaker though. Give Kobe or Lebron the ball and they'll make more plays than Nash. Not so sure I wouldn't take Chris Paul as my starting pg right now either, especially if you factor in the age difference. How much longer can Nash perform at this level?

Ditto on Chris Paul. Guy has become a beast in the league, less his penchant of college days jimmy-punching.

Give Kobe or Lebron the ball and theyll shoot it, thats not exactly playmaking....they can make it but so can Nash

Nash not only can take and shoot it and win the game, but he can make passes that if you seen any other player try to do it, youd think it is stupid....Nash sets his teammates up like no other player and if your open for just a second he'll get you the ball..the guy makes every player around him so much better..thats why he is the best playmaker in the game

Raider, I'm telling you this as your friend and as a fellow fan of the suns - the suns are not as good with Shaq. I dont see why you dont realize this. It kills me to say it, but I honestly don't see them getting out of the first round. Come back to reality there. Just because they're your favorite team doesn't mean you have to lie to yourself.

    Re: Thoughts on the Suns..

Just a matter of opinion I guess, to me when Lebron falls out of bounds hitting a three it's making a play. Lebron with half the help has done more from a team stand point than Nash. I like Nash, a lot but he's no where near the top in terms of players in the game today. Julius Hodge will also hold the record for number of times struck in the groin. Chris Paul is a beast though.
